Drigg vs Pligg – the benefits of the Drupal CMS

Posted on: November 21, 2008

I read recently that Pligg is widely used as a digg.com clone.

The Drupal Module Drigg is not getting the same traction that pligg is getting for a number of reasons which I will look at.

But up front it is important to note that Drupal has won CMS of the year for 2 years running now, and provides scaleability and functionality that the Pligg CMS is not built to handle.

Note however that Drigg for Drupal 6.x is a development build and should be avoided for use in a live site.
