using basecamp for drupal development

My company is using Basecamp to manage the workflow of creating a Drupal Theme.

Using Basecamp is clearly very easy.

One of the best features of the Basecamp System is the ability to manage the Drupal development project over email. Basecamp integrates file sharing and commenting into an easy to use “reply” system. Each member of the web development project can simply reply to others emails with attachments and Basecamp organizes the files and comments by date and type.

I have had one serious issue with Basecamp lately. When replying to a message I have attached .png files, once sent, are corrupted on the Basecamp site. I had the same issue with a Word Document.

I had to manually delete the corrupted files and load new files under the “files” tab on the Basecamp site.

This was not difficult, but it created a bit of confusion with my Drupal development team, looking for files in attached comments, only to find they have been corrupted. Then having to navigate to the files tab and find the files that I had manually loaded.
